>Auto Connect
Upon opening the TCF-S Focuser Control application the program will automatically attempt to connect to your TCF-S via the last selected COM port. If this is the first time running the program, it will use COM1. If a focuser is not connected to the last selected port, the status bar at the bottom of the program will display 'No TCF-S Found'. See the Operation section of this help file for information regarding how to select a COM port.
>New Version Checker
The TCF-S Focuser Control program, as well as the ASCOM Driver Setup Dialog form will automatically check for new updates to the program on every start up. This process will run silently in the background. If the most recent version of the application is already installed no notification will be displayed. However, if a newer version is available for download, a dialog box will be displayed alerting the user of the latest version number and a link to the download site. To update the program you must manually download the new version from the website and run the installer; this does not happen automatically.
