IMPORTANT NOTES FOR SSPDataq2_Trial

Some of the features are turned off in this version. These include:
data plot module, SOE Extinction module and U,R & I magnitude
selections. Also, the high resolution scanned pages of the UBVRIJKL
is not available but is available in the Photometry Help file.

You will find SSPDataq2 listed in your START menu. I would suggest
you go through the help files before running the programs. For your
convenience, the help file is also available as a pdf file:
  SSPDataq2 Help File Copy.pdf

The default COM port for SSPDataq2 is COM 0 which will bring up a
notice to change the COM port if you try to connect without
selecting a valid COM port first.

If you run the uninstall program after running SSPDataq2, a few
files will be left in the default directory (C:\SSPDataq2\ or user
defined path). It is necessary to reboot the computer before these
  files can be deleted.

NOTES for November 26, 2010:

I have moved the default install directory to C:\SSPDataq2\.
This allows for compatibilty with Vista and Windows 7 since
these programs do not allow writes to files to be made to
C:\Program Files\ unless one has administrator rights.

NOTES for January 22, 2010:

I have added the scanned pages of the UBVRIJKL bright star
catalog in a folder labled "UBVRIJKL Cat." located on the
install CD disk. These include both high and low resolution
jpg copies. I was unable to find this important catalog on
the web so I scanned my copy. Since the original work was
done under various government grants, the material in not
   protected by copyright.

To start SSPDataq2, go to your START menu and find SSPDataq2
in the listing. It is usually at the end.

The help files SSPDataq2.chm and Photometry2.chm are available
within the program and also in the START menu. In additon,
pdf versions of these help files can be found in the root
directory for SSPDataq2. Search for SSPDataq2.pdf or
Photometry2.pdf. I suggest going through the help files first
before spending too much time with the programs. A copy of
"Astronomical Photometry" is also suggested and details for
obtaining a copy are in the Photometry2 help file.
